As we all know, a trip to Disney World is pricy. So I’ve rounded up some of the best things you can get for FREE from Disney Springs, which is Disney’s own shopping, dining and entertainment district which you do not need a park ticket to enter, it’s completely free. This means that you can still pick up your Disney parks souvenirs, get a great meal (and some amazing snacks), and see some amazing Disney displays without even entering a theme park.
- Free necklace from Luxury of Time by Diamonds International.
The Luxury of Time store is at the entrance where you come in when you’re dropped off by a Disney Transport bus. All you have to do is mention “Disney map” (one per person) and you’ll receive this free necklace with a velvet pouch! When I went in there was a woman handing them out to a queue of people who were saying “Disney map” and there was no attempt at a sales pitch of any kind, which was great as often freebies have some pressure to purchase tied to them. The necklace is super cute and suited to all age ranges, perfect if you want to get a beautiful necklace for your little princess but don’t want to splash out!
2. Free Toy Story Drop Pop Socket.
As far as I am aware this one is only valid until mid August, or while stocks last, however promos like this run quite regularly. Outside of Paddlefish there was a space rocket photo opportunity with a PhotoPass photographer so you could have your photo taken, as well as test out the game and download it on your own device to recieve this super cute free pop socket to promote the game which was released in conjuction with Toy Story 4!
3. Free Sephora makeup/skincare birthday gift set.

This year’s skincare set from Drunk Elephant
This goes for all Sephora stores but it’s a perk many people are not aware of, especially since we do not have Sephora across the pond in the UK. If you make a Sephora account you will be asked for your birthdate, if you then visit a store during your birthday month you can redeem your completely free gift set. This is another one with no pressure to purchase, you can just walk up to the till and tell them your email and they’ll pass it over to you! They’re always amazing mini size products too from top brands, in the past I’ve had a NARS lipstick set, a BITE beauty lipstick set and this year a Drunk Elephant set. You can choose either the birthday or skincare set and there are additional perks as you rack up points (by spending) and your status increases.
4. Free Ghirardelli Chocolate squares.
The Ghirardelli store at Disney Springs always hands out sample squares of various flavours. What’s great about these (apart from the fact their chocolate is delicious) is that they come packaged (they’re the same as in the image just without the DCL writing) therefore you can take them away from you if you don’t fancy it there and then! Ghirardelli is also an amazing use of snack credits, but watch out for a whole post on that!
5. Sample scrubs and lotions at Basin (and bask in the amazing smells).
Basin is an amazing store just to browse (however it is extremely affordable and has many practical products with a Disney touch!). But you can sample different products such as lip, face or hand scrubs before you make your purchase. This is super handy if you just want to leave your hands smelling lovely, or if you’re trying to decide on a scent.
6. Sample Goofy’s Glaciers at Goofy’s Candy Company.
Goofy’s Glaciers are a cold, slushy type drink in so many flavours. At Goofy’s Candy Company you can sample as many flavours as you’d like for free, the cups are about the same size as the ones at Club Cool in Epcot. This is perfect if you just want something to cool you down, or if you want to purchase a whole glacier and can’t decide which flavour(s). The store is also full of wonderful treats to browse.
7. Play with LEGO at the LEGO store.

2015 model outside of store.
This store always has something going on, there are usually a good few sculptures either in or outside the store which are great to look at. Not only that, you can go inside and play around with some LEGO. They also have the “build three mini figures” deal which most LEGO stores have, but a lot of people will just build them without purchasing which is obviously totally fine.
8. Take pictures at multiple photo-ops.

Me and my brother in Disney Springs this July
Disney Springs is FULL of Disney theming, meaning so many cool picture opportunities. You’ll find water features, art, statues, the whole lot! Not all of them are Disney, you can pose for a photo while sitting on a real Harley Davidson motorcycle at their store too.
9. Watch demonstrations at Arribas Brothers.
Arribas Brothers have ongoing demonstrations throughout the day including glass blowing and cutting. This store is amazing to browse (no touching, think of the damages!!) but it’s even more enjoyable when you can watch how these beautiful products are made.
10. Window shop.
Disney Springs are just like the stores in the parks; they have incredible displays. Not to mention World of Disney is THE largest Disney Store in the world and since their recent revamp the store looks amazing (and is very easy to get lost in…). It’s the best place to have a browse for all your Disney needs (and all the other amazing brands at Disney Springs such as coca-cola, Harley Davidson, Sephora, Pandora).
Of course you can shop as well, but freebies are way more fun.
